Cookies

We use very few, and none for advertising.

Draft — requires review by a qualified adviser before launch.

Essential

  • Session — keeps you signed in.
  • Security — protects forms against cross-site request forgery.
  • Preferences — remembers your light or dark theme choice. Stored in your browser, never sent to us.

Analytics and session recording

With your consent we use two tools. Google Analytics counts visits and tells us which articles are actually read; that data is aggregated. Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used — scrolling, clicking, and where people get stuck — and can replay an anonymised recording of a session.

Session recording is more intrusive than visit counting and we would rather say so plainly. Clarity masks text content by default, so what you type is not captured, but the recording does show how you moved around the page. Neither tool is used to build an advertising profile of you, and we do not sell anything to data brokers.

Neither loads until you accept. If you decline, or have not chosen yet, no analytics or recording script is requested at all.

Embedded video

YouTube embeds use the no-cookie player and load nothing at all until you press play. Once you do, YouTube may set its own cookies under its own policy.

What we do not use

  • Advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • Cross-site tracking pixels.
  • Data brokers of any kind.
